The 2007 Annual Book Fair TBA. As in previous years, the fair will offer new
paperback and hardcover books, including a wide range of fiction, non-fiction,
contemporary, and classic titles. Prices range from $5 - $25.
Students will preview the Book Fair selections with their classes on Tuesday. This preview day will allow students to create a "Wish List" with titles and prices. On Wednesday and Thursday, students can make their purchases. Please send your child with cash or check (made out to Fiske PTO) and his/her Wish List on the day of the sale. To learn more about a particular book before making a purchase, check out the book reviews on Amazon.com and KidsReads.com.
As always, parents are welcome to visit the Book Fair any time it is open. Please consider purchasing a Birthday Book to donate to the Fiske Library in honor of a special teacher or to recognize a birthday. Certain titles will be set aside for donation, including those listed on the New Books page. Ask or email Librarian Media Specialist Linda Corbett for more information.
Each year, a percentage of the Book Fair proceeds is used to purchase additional books for the Library. Many current titles can be found on the shelves thanks to the support of the Fiske community. Last year the Library was able to purchase 130 new books!
